RELIEF IS FATTENING

Thank you so much for praying our family through yesterday! I can confirm that God is good! (But you already knew that.) Here's what I learned from a stressful 24 hours:

*God knew the end from the beginning, and His peace was available through the whole ordeal. Next time I'll try to remember to tap into it instead of waiting until I see the good result.

*I treasure my praying friends!

*Things aren't always what they appear to be. Patience and thorough investigation go a long way, and are better than stress and panic.

*Stress is scary, and relief is fattening. During The Ordeal I could barely choke down real food (ice cream didn't seem to be a problem)--but once The Ordeal was resolved, I scarfed down my favorite foods without reservation. Not looking forward to weighing in, but I'll take my lumps.

Anyhoo, I'd love to hear what you've learned during your stressful times!

Still praising God for how things worked out, for how He went before you and smoothed the way, and for how He always has our best interests at heart.

You're right, His peace is always available. We just need to grab it with both hands.

I could kick myself for seeing this post today instead of last week when I could have been praying. I'm so very glad God's grace carried you through your storm. Even though it's all worked out I'm going to cover you in prayer anyway. :-) Be blessed, my sweet sister in Christ.
