The first concert I ever attended was Howard Jones, way back in '87 (or '88?) I totally sound like an old codger, but this song takes me back. Yesterday Sharon Ball posted on favorite bands of the 80's, which is what got me to thinking. Anyhoo, of course I had to share with you all. Plus, HoJo is the only dude who can get away with jamming in an orange suit, and you gotta love BIG HAIR.
Crank the bass...and I dare you to sit still....
If only music today were as uplifting as this:
Treating today as though it was the last, the final show
Get to 60 and feel no regrets
It may take a little time, a lonely path, an uphill climb
Success or failure will not alter it.
OK friends, let's hear your favorite 80's songs/artists/memories.

Oh man, I've never heard of HoJo. In the 80's I was in a tiny Christian school in central Kansas where we were told that drums were from the devil and you shouldn't buy a record album if it had the artist's face on it, because that meant they were glory seekers.
This left us with Maranatha Praise albums and Patch the Pirate (because he was a cartoon).
Love the big hair! I could SO do that!
LOL, you're kidding! Compared to you, I was a total heathen....
Oh, dear, you got me. I have no idea. Never been a huge music fan, more of a pray-me-a-Christian-song type person.
Oh no--I'm the only one who listened to this stuff in the 80's? LOL!!! And this was probably the milder stuff--I won't tell you all about the rowdy concerts I went to.
Did you all at least have big hair?
Georgiana, I loved the walk down memory lane when I watched the video. Do you remember when MTV first came on the scene (I was a freshman in college)? At first they played the same 20 or 30 videos over and over again. LOL!
LOL--I wasn't allowed to watch it when it first came out, so I snuck it in short increments. I may have seen those first videos maybe once each. HAHA!!!
Haha, my kids were laughing at me singing along to this!
