I love love love this book!
Trout, football, and soup come together in a great story about one mom's quest for the perfect holiday. More than once I laughed--probably because I could SO identify with the heroine. Somehow I know this would be me, had I a son playing football. Then, I must admit I shed a tear at the end. There's something so warm and homey about a Susan May Warren book, and I hope you enjoy this one as much as I did.
About The Great Christmas Bowl:Marianne Wallace is focused on two things this holiday season:planning the greatest family Christmas ever and cheering on heryoungest son’s team in their bid for the state championship.Disaster strikes when the team loses their mascot-the Trout. Is itgoing too far to ask her to don the costume? So what if her husbandhas also volunteered her to organize the church Christmas tea. When football playoffs start ramping up, the Christmas tea startsfalling apart. Then, one by one her children tell her they can’t comehome for Christmas. As life starts to unravel, will Marianne remember the true meaning ofthe holidays?
