I DIDN'T STAND A CHANCE....

Need I say more? All this came in the last few days before Christmas, much of it from very nice customers on my husband's route. I'll admit to gaining a few pounds, because obviously I didn't stand a chance. It's a good thing I got this:

That said, this week it's back to the workout routine since I have a dr's appt in two weeks where they are going to weigh me and check my cholesterol and hypertension numbers. Prayers are appreciated!
We enjoyed many good times this year, especially since all the kids are old enough to discuss and ponder the meaning of Christmas. My favorite Christmas memory is playing hide-n-seek with the family at my parents' house. I laughed so hard I....well....never mind. Let's just say that a rousing game of hide-n-seek provided a much needed belly laugh!
Did you have a wonderful time celebrating the birth of our Lord? Any favorite memories or gifts? Were you brave enough to step on the scale yet? Enquiring minds....

I started a workout program this morning, trying to get a jump on the new year resolutions. No scale yet, I don't own one so I have to weigh at my parent's house, and I haven't dared.....lol
Cute shoes!!!
Haven't done the weigh in. Haven't been on the Wii since the summer. When the Wii fit weighs you "she" makes an oof sound as in "Oof, you are heavy!" Nope, haven't got on the Wii fit.
Betsy, I should get rid of my schedule too! What a great idea not to own one.
CJ--LOL!!! The "Oof" would make a great scene in a book.
Nope, haven't been on the scale yet.
I like your new shoes!
Erica--it probably IS best to wait until after everything shakes out in a few weeks rather than alaming oneself now! At least that's what I would have done if not for the looming dr appt.
I only took Sunday off from exercising and haven't been on the scale in weeks/months. But I plan on doing a detox (anyone know a good one) in January and in the spring I want to join this bootcamp training place. Until then, I'll continue with my exercise routine and hopefully eat less junk. When you hit my age, exercise alone doesn't help lose weight (I've been faithful for years)now it's time to get serious with my diet! Anyone want to join me?
You must be serious if you're going to do a detox. Choose carefully ;-)
Yes, I'm all about healthy eating, but as my dr told me a few months ago, it's a total lifestyle change that's required in my situation. Ugh.
It's so hard to resist all of the Christmas goodies. I decided I would enjoy myself without beating myself up and then concentrate on sliming down after the holidays.
I had a wonderful time visiting my family and spending Christmas with them. What a blessing to celebrate the birth of our Savior with the people I love.
