NEVER A WASTE
Anyone devoted to their art, whether writers or painters or musicians, knows how much time it takes to explore and develop their craft. Many of us are looking for ways to move faster, work smarter, and generally squeeze twenty-five hours out of twenty-four.
For me, guilt often comes into play, knowing there are giant time suckers that I could eliminate--leisurely showers, television, reading, and...uh...crossword puzzles ;-) Of course, no one wants to live a life void of all the enjoyable parts in a quest for (fill-in-the-blank.)
So today I decided to make my guilt-free list. The top 3 ENJOYABLE things I know in my heart are the best use of those precious minutes:
PRAYING is never a waste of time
HOLDING MY KIDS is never a waste of time
LISTENING TO MY HUBBY is never a waste of time
While I'd love to include writing on this list, I'm not there yet. Probably because I'm still at a stage where my writing benefits only me {insert cheesy grin}. OH for the day where writing gets added to the list!
Here's my question for you. Fill in the blank:
____is NEVER a waste of time!

Praying and spending time with Jesus is at the top of my list. Spending time with my family is next. Nothing will ever be more important than my relationship with Jesus and my loved ones.
I think I have to agree with your list! God, family...never wastes of time. :-)
What a WONDERFUL reminder, dear Georgiana!
Praising God is never a waste of time.
Breathing is never a waste of time, especially when the Spirit is breathing on me!!!
Love your site.
Patti
Facebook and reading blogs hahaha!
Some days I do feel that writing is a big waste of time - that's when I can get easily discouraged. When I see a bunch of posts and tweets about people getting contracts, and my inbox is empty...I wonder what I'm doing. So I'm going to vote for your number one as well.
Praying is never a waste of time.
And boy do I need that reminder!
Walking. It encompasses so much, reflection, thinking, conversation, exercise, nature, and the list goes on :)
Reading blogs is never a waste of time because you learn wonderful things. Yeah, it can be a happy, little time waster, to.
You've got a great list there, G. I agree with all of them. :)
Great list! Don't see any way to improve on it.
Oh, I love this! And I love your list, so I'm just going to copy it.
PRAYING is never a waste of time
HOLDING MY KIDS is never a waste of time
LISTENING TO MY HUBBY is never a waste of time
And add:
LIVING is never a waste of time.
Loving someone for the Lord is never a waste of my time! Great question!!!
Listening, really listening, to my family. Sometimes in my busy-ness, I hear but don't listen. Nice question!
Thanks for sharing, ladies! You've come up with some good ones I hadn't thought of. And for those of you who listed blogs and facebook--we all have our priorities :D Hee hee!
I love having this list in place because everytime one of these things has come up today, I can stop what I'm doing and focus guilt free time.
I love your list!
Dreaming is never a waste of my time.
Writing falls in perfect order I think. As long as we don't scratch it off the list! Right?!
I like your list but I will add this one to it:
Dreaming is never a waste of time!
Your list is perfect, although I've been trying to squeeze more like 28hrs out of a day. :)
I came over from Gina's blog! Nice to meet you, I'm an ACFW member as well.
Your post would be a great addition to my Friday meme about perspective. Come on over and link up if you like. The other's could benefit from your reminder!

Such fun I came back.
Doing something for someone who can do nothing back except say thank you is never a waste of time.
Have a great weekend!
Patti
You forgot Diet Coke! hehe. =P
I think you need to add one more thing to your list. Doing something for yourself is never a waste of time if it refreshes you! So writing for you is NOT a waste of time. The problem comes in when writing takes over the other things. It's not the writing, it's how much time you...we...I spend time doing it. That's the problem! ;)
