WHAT I WILL NOT BE WEARING TO CONFERENCE

As the masses prepare to descend on Indianapolis for the annual ACFW Conference, there is much discussion on what to wear for appointments, down time, and of course the banquet. Because I am on a limited budget, I have to spend my clothing/hair/accessory allowance wisely. Therefore I have put together a list of what you will not see me in at conference.

While I've long had a fascination with capes, this year's styles give me pause. Because I have a fear of molting at dinner, I've decided not to purchase this little beauty:

There's a somewhat disturbing trend this year toward all things animal. And while I do so adore the Yeti, I don't want his feet for shoes.....

.....even though they would go smashingly with the fur jumpsuit that seems to be all the rage. Thankfully it will be too warm in Indianapolis to don one of these babies:

And besides....the PETA people scare me.

The number one thing you won't find me wearing at the ACFW conference is the Alexander McQueen Platform shoe:

But only because I can't find them for less than $900.

There you have it, friends! And now....off to pack.....

Oh, I'm so glad you're going. I'm excited to meet you.

Could you please email the sites you found those on asap b/c I'd like to order one of each of the above and wear it all to the banquet. *wink*wink*

Too funny:) I hope you have a blast at the conference!

I would probably try and pack my entire wardrobe, but I definitely agree that none of those items would be in my suitcase.

My feet are screaming at thowe shoes...I hope that girl's feet aren't bent that direction!

Love, love, love this post each year. :)

You'd look smashing in the feather cape!

I'm wondering how the model is standing in those shoes--or if someone is supporting her from above. Were they serious about those shoes? I can feel the scrapes on my knees already.

Well, now, you might turn up your nose at some of my outfits.

But they won't have heels QUITE that high!!!

Can't wait to see you!

Believe it or not, I saw multiple pictures of this platform shoe, and in one there was a line of models walking down the runway!

Sounds like a fun time will be going on there! How about just a little leopard print in an accessory, a purse or scarf, tapping into that animal style? Enjoy :)

I wish I were going this year, but, alas...
Thanks for posting this, I laughed so hard I thought I might snort my coffee.
Those shoes remind me of the bound-foot look of traditional Chinese women. Ew.

Will miss everyone this year!!!! Wahhh. Though if anyone is wearing those shoes to the conference I'm sort of glad to save my eyes from seeing the montrosity in person....yikes!! I'm a shoe girl but I have my limits =P

Those shoes are the worst. I can't believe anyone could stand much less walk in them. I would need training wheels.

So looking forward to seeing you!
