I DON'T HAVE A CHANCE!

With Christmas a mere five days away, I'm finally getting into the spirit. Our stockings are hung, presents wrapped, and my holiday to-do list is shrinking. The only problem is I cant. stop. eating. I'm fighting a losing battle. Here's a sample of what we've got on hand:

In honor of the gazillion snacks my hubby is bringing home, curtesy of his generous customers, here's my TOP 5 CHRISTMAS SNACKS:

5. Powdered crispy balls

4. Chocolate rice crispy treats

3. Peanut brittle

2. Cookies--all varieties welcome!

1. Homemade chocolate balls. Don't tell my hubby I ate them all. Let him wonder where they are. Shhh!

I'm getting a little too "jolly" and hurtling toward the dreaded 2011 goals that will, of course, include losing the Christmas pounds in addition to the 2398476329476 I already needed to drop. But until then, let the egg nog flow!

Ho ho ho!

Chime in--favorite Christmas food???

I know! The Christmas food won't stop either. People are constantly dropping off cookies and homemade candy to my hubby's office and he's bringing it HOME! Right now my favorite is the homemade candy "bark". It's so easy to nibble on all day.

Favorite Christmas food? Cookies, and chocolate. And not just at Christmas.

Between Thanksgiving and New years and dieting? Forgetaboutit! Husband is worried about my couple of pounds gained. But . . . January will soon be here, and the goodies will soon be all. And it's nothing like before . . .

Jennifer--what is bark? I'm so curious now.

LOL, CJ! It's not just for Christmas around here either. I guess it's simply worse than usual.

Sharon, you've come a long way--you have some room for a few extra treats this season :D

You haven't heard of almond bark or chocolate bark? Its what you use to melt and dip apples/strawberries/pretzels etc. Its a great mild chocolate perfect for dipping. They make white chocolate varieties, etc. MMMMMMM

Ahhh....that sounds delicious. Why haven't I heard of it? I'm sure I would love bark as much as I loved the little green trees I ate yesterday. (Shhh....don't tell. Yes, I ate them all.)
